Overview
Nyva ("we," "us," or "our") is a business operating system for small home services companies. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app or website.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us:
- Account information: Name, email address, and phone number when you create an account.
- Business information: Your business name, address, and type of services you provide.
- Customer data: Names, contact details, and addresses of your customers that you enter into Nyva.
- Job records: Job details, scheduling information, notes, and photos you upload (before/after photos for jobs).
- Payment information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers. We store invoice amounts and payment status.
- Device information: Push notification tokens to send you job assignment alerts (when you grant permission).
- Usage data: How you interact with the app to improve our product.
How We Use Your Information
- Providing and operating the Nyva service — scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, and team management.
- Sending push notifications for job assignments and updates (only when you grant permission).
- Sending SMS notifications via Twilio for job confirmations and reminders (only when your business enables this).
- Generating and delivering invoices to your customers via email through Resend.
- Processing payments on behalf of your business via Stripe Connect.
- Improving and debugging the Nyva platform.
Third-Party Services
Nyva uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase— Our database and file storage provider. All data is stored in Supabase's PostgreSQL database hosted in the US.
- Stripe— Payment processing. When you connect a Stripe account or collect payments, Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Twilio — SMS messaging for job notifications and reminders. See twilio.com privacy policy.
- Resend — Email delivery for invoices and notifications. See resend.com/privacy.
- Vercel — Application hosting provider. See vercel.com privacy policy.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only with the third-party services listed above as necessary to operate Nyva, and as required by law. Your customers' data is used solely to provide the services your business has enabled in Nyva (e.g., sending them a job confirmation SMS or invoice email).
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and your business data from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records).
Your Rights — Account Deletion
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time.
- In-app deletion: Go to Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account (for business owners) orProfile > Delete Account (for technicians).
- Email request: Send a deletion request to support@nyva.app.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your business data, customer records, job history, invoices, and photos will be permanently deleted.
Push Notifications
Nyva requests permission to send push notifications for job assignment alerts. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device settings. We will not send marketing notifications — only operational alerts relevant to your job assignments.
Camera and Photo Access
The Nyva app requests camera and photo library access to allow technicians to capture before/after job photos. Photos are uploaded to secure storage and associated with the job record. You can revoke camera access at any time through your device settings.
Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, database row-level security (RLS), and authentication tokens to protect your data. Access to your business data is restricted to users in your organization.
Children's Privacy
Nyva is designed for use by business owners and employees who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the app or sending an email to the address associated with your account.
